Going back to he roots of English language the word Mall is originally derived from the word “Pal-Mall” which was a game in Britain during the 17th century. The word Pal-Mall stands for ball and bat came from France and later traveled to Britain and Iran. The famous Nesve-Jahan Square of Isfahan is a very good example of a real traditional mall. The open sky of the square gives a very authentic feeling to the air for the Pal-Mall games that took place there. However historians have named the Highland Park which was made by Hugh Prater in Dallas, Texas in 1931 as the first mall ever made.
